17" vs. 18" street tires..Track Comparisons?

Hello,

Just wanted to see if anyone had upgraded from 17" to 18".

Just completed my first on track weekend, logging about 100 or so miles of track time. At about mile 50 I began to see that the 17" 205's and 235's were becoming an issue. I did expect to find their limit once on the track, and it was a great learning tool to help me manage traction and find the perfect line.

Up until now I have enjoyed the 17"s and the nice ride they have provided, but its time to upgrade. I would like to hear some input from anyone who has gone out on a track with the 17"s, then upgraded, and what was your impressions after words?

Thank you
