More than 1 Million Hits in a Single Day!

Yep, I was reviewing stats over the last few days and the load on the server at our new host given the recent announcement and on the 19th we had over 1 Million hits that day alone and the server (and host) stood up to it just fine. Whew am I glad we made the switch prior to the launch announcement. These figures also were probably lightened a little by the permissions issue I was sorting out with the developers as we start making some more changes to the site, buy hey I'm not complaining, just cool to see.

Thats no big deal....my web site gets 2 million hits a day, so thats really cool, plus I just came from traffic school....

Page-loads are where its at with vB (as opposed to "hits").

How many are you averaging per day?

Congrats! Remember when you started the site and the only information on the Cayman was a Porsche webspecial and a few photos on the net? How about the "haters" who said the Cayman was doomed from the start? CC and the Cayman have come a long way in a short time.

Good? Lots of visitors/page-loads on a forum is always good!

Objectively though, for 1 MM hits, its actually pretty low (says you have a zillion small ads/imgs on each page).

I calculate it to be about 15 hits per page which isn't much at all considering all the graphics on some of the pages like avatars, icons, etc. etc.

You must be doing something right. Not sure what it is but this is one of if not the best Porsche sites out there.
